Shredded Belt & Pully

Not sure what you are cranking on but here is the torque spec for you.

Rear pulley bolts 60 ft lbs, blue loctite
I am trying to put the entire primary back on and the transmission pulley. The harley manual says 110 lbs and then back off to 30 lbs for the transmission pulley lock nut. I screwed it all up trying to lock this thing in place and get the 100 lbs.

Here is what I am trying to get the spec for first.

Transmission main / clutch hub shaft nut 80 ft-lbs - red loctite

Do you have access to an impact?

I have not done it but there are tools made to lock the pulley in place.

Some of the other guys are going to have to chime in on this one before you do it, but from what I just read, it looks like you can manually put the transmission into gear and this should look the hub so you can torque it down

I finally got this thing back together, fired it up and let it run for a few minutes. It appears I did not get a good seal on the inner primary and it's leaking fluid through the seal between the primary and crank case. Anyone else have this happen or ideas to stop the leak? I got a new gasket for a softail and was thinking about using some permatex high temp gasket sealer. Anyone tried using this stuff?

I wish I had more money.
Did you torque them? In a criss cross pattern? If you didn't give that a shot. Kind of like lug nuts on the truck.
