I thought about that with the tranny vent, air Compressor. Remove the dip stick and cover the hole with a towel and push air I to the tranny vent hole...... Thanks for the help..
I'd think your tranny vent does not need airblow, considering it already pushes oil out..

So my problem is about the same had transmission fluid disappearing every year after it sat during the winter no leaks on the ground.
drained primary and there was twice as much fluid in there. fluid in transmission was very low maybe 4oz but still clean.
im in the process of removing the primary and noticed the clear fluid from transmission leaking around the bearing. since im breaking it down this far what should i replace besides the bearing and seal? part numbers would be extremely helpful.
Also having a problem with the primary inspection cover breaking apart by bolt holes. going to order my third cover. would placing rubber washers around the bolts help alleviate this problem. (cover had to be ground down a little after i got a replacement from baker corders were rough and didnt quite fit)

1st, ya should prolly do an intro to tell us a little about yourself.

2nd, call Baker and get the seal but read up a few posts and make sure its not the bearings being bad.

3rd, you are over tightening the screws on the primary inspection cover, most of us only torque them to 75-80 in/lbs, with a bead of silicone around the gasket or do you have the o-ring? I still have my original cover after 10 oil changes.

Thanks for the reply. Been torquing inspection screws to 108in/lb. per service manual.
I'll try 75.
Going to replace bearings too since I have it broken down this far. You wouldn't happen to know any of the part#?

Baker should be able to tell you, and be careful when replacing the bearings in the tranny housing, there is a bearing puller that should be used so you don't break the housing.
