Thanks a ton - those are in fact DECAPITATOR trip trees and I'm glad to know you experience excellent handling. This was a HUGE concern with me when I got my setup, with all the info out there it was a huge risk and gamble (re: trail and handling) – ended up going with the Decapitator – (this is for my Mastiff, am also installing a 360 brake on the springer. Have chosen not to use the front fender; yes I know good luck with the cleaning…Should be on the road in a few and I do hope I get the same handling results as you)
Thanks again

Yeah Staffy, I think you will be very pleased with the results after getting this setup. I will look forward to seeing pictures of your bike when you get it done.

Yep, that looks bad ass for sure.....nice job with that. I like the fender choice too; would you mind some close ups of that mounting setup? Any real issues with getting it mounted right? Looks great man.:2thumbs:

Thank you PurpleDog, appreciate it. I actually have some close up pics of a K-9 with the same setup, with some pics of the fender mounting. This K-9 pictured is at the dealership. Let me know if these work.

I didn't do the work, the dealer did it. They have a done a number of these, so I don't think any issues for them. One thing they did say is that they use beefier fender brackets than the stock ones that came with the bike.

The dragon front end is setup just like a wideglide for mounting a fender,on the right side the width is adjustable,on mine I just bought the fender mounting kit with single brake and reused all the stock fender brackets

Moe... first off, bike looks great.

Second, I can't believe you put on that same fancy POS caliper bracket, don't you remember what happen to Al?

You can see the same bracket in these pics

3rd... I hope if you don't change it you don't end up with the same problem. There is a reason why every other springer in the world has the standard adjustable heim joint style caliper stay.

Good luck!

I agree. Heim joints are a better design for the up and down movement without stressing the bolt like a through hole or bushing. That's also why they're used on your shift linkage as well.
Also GORGEOUS BUILD!!!!!

Thanks Chris, I'm glad you like the look, appreciate it. I'm going to have to keep an eye on it, I think there was some changes to the mechanics of the setup to prevent like what happened to Al.
