Eric ,, I had a hard time starting her after 7 days , so I put it on a trickle charger and now I thought it was ready to go and it wont turn over at all... Click Click...???? I have no clue???
whats clicking starter or comp release.... ???remove the solonoid wire from the starter & see if this is the sound you here for about 1 second when you push the start button. if this is it thats the comp release... may just need starter contacts cleaned..

just sayin you asking for trouble.. possible ehc issues thay dont like power surges or spikes in voltage.. on top of that,, your charging system may or may not be working, it will die if the voltage get to low...you ight get stuck on the road somewhere

Best and easist thing to do first is take your battery out and drive (car) over to your HD or Bike dealer and have them load test the battery as was suggested before. If it's suspect by a new one with 370cca (cold cranking amps) or more. Charge it over night then bolt it back in to your BD. You can't reliably check out other systems on your bike if your starting out with a shot battery.

Many good advice on here. Before going to dig in all kinds of issue, like most said, check the battery. Take it out and to the shop or put and have it tested.

Also would recomend that you spend some time and search through the many folders in troubleshooting various things on here, the Do It Yourself threads and many other.

Seeing that you have USCG in your user name and do not recall seeing intro, are you in the Guard? If so and active, maybe see if one of the MK can help you troubleshoot also. Between a good Snipe (Good being the Key!!!) and the many good things on here that are available via the search feature, you will save yourself some hard times and money.

Also get a Manual and some basic tools if you do not have any (good advice is availble via search) and put on that list a good Digital Multimeter and good inch pound and a foot pound torque wrench.

Good luck and if you have not put one up, please put a intro in telling us something about you and your interest.

Thanks FiberSnake. Yes I am active. I am not a snipe. I am there counterpart. BM.. Only rates in the USCG. They are not real good with electrical shit though. I got the new battery w 325 CCA And she fired right up. My next ? is why do you need a trickle charger. What drains the battery??
