Many good advice on here. Before going to dig in all kinds of issue, like most said, check the battery. Take it out and to the shop or put and have it tested.
Also would recomend that you spend some time and search through the many folders in troubleshooting various things on here, the Do It Yourself threads and many other.
Seeing that you have USCG in your user name and do not recall seeing intro, are you in the Guard? If so and active, maybe see if one of the MK can help you troubleshoot also. Between a good Snipe (Good being the Key!!!) and the many good things on here that are available via the search feature, you will save yourself some hard times and money.
Also get a Manual and some basic tools if you do not have any (good advice is availble via search) and put on that list a good Digital Multimeter and good inch pound and a foot pound torque wrench.
Good luck and if you have not put one up, please put a intro in telling us something about you and your interest.
